Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
1. Overview
the-sopranos.wiki (the “Site”) does not require registration and does not ask you for your name, email or other personal details. This policy explains what is collected automatically when you visit, by us and by our partners.
2. Server logs
Like any website, our servers record technical data about requests — IP address, browser type, pages requested and time — to keep the Site secure and working. These logs are not used to identify you.
3. Cookies and language
The Site stores your chosen language in a cookie named NEXT_LOCALE. When there is no such cookie, your approximate country, derived from your IP address on the server, is used only to pick a default language; it is not stored.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica to understand how the Site is used (pages viewed, time on page, device type). These services may set cookies and process data under their own policies: policies.google.com/privacy and yandex.com/legal/confidential. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and the Yandex Metrica opt-out add-on.
5. Advertising
The Site is funded by advertising from third-party networks, including Adsterra and video ad partners in the player. These partners may use cookies, device identifiers and your IP address to show, limit and measure ads, and some ads open in a new tab or window. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
6. Embedded videos
Trailers are embedded from YouTube. When you play one, YouTube may set cookies and collect data under Google’s privacy policy.
7. Comments
If you post a comment, we store the name you enter, the text and the time, and show them publicly under the page. We do not store your IP address — only a one-way hash of it, used to limit spam. To have a comment removed, write to the contact address below.
8. Your choices and rights
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, use the opt-out tools above, or use an ad or tracker blocker. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access or delete data about you; since we do not keep accounts, most such data is held by the partners named above, who handle those requests.
9. Children
The Site is a general-audience guide. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
